Terms and Conditions

Any person attending, or registering for, the online Summit which will take the form of a Zoom Webinar, do so entirely at their own free will and risk and subject to the following terms and conditions:

 

  1. Africa Seminars, its sole proprietor, the speakers, employees, organisers, agents and any other person associated with or taking part in the Summit (hereinafter collectively referred to as Africa Seminars) shall not be liable for (and duly indemnified from) any claim relating to anything written, said or done during, before or after the Summit.
  2. Your registration entitles you access to the Zoom Webinar for which you have registered. Any, and all other costs incurred by you with regard to your attendance shall be borne by you, and Africa Seminars shall have no liability for such costs.
  3. By participating in this online Summit, you acknowledge and agree to grant Africa Seminars the right to record, film and live stream the event.
  4. You acknowledge and agree that Africa Seminars, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to change any aspect of the online Summit, including but not limited to the Summit theme, content, speakers, moderator and time. The Summit content shall be recorded by Africa Seminars and will be accessible to paid participants.
  5. By registering for this online Summit, you agree not to sell, trade, transfer, or share your access link and/or code and e-mail and password to access the Zoom Webinar, unless consent is granted, in writing, by Africa Seminars.
  6. Participants may not record or broadcast audio or video sessions of this online Summit.
  7. All intellectual property rights in and to this online Summit content, and all materials distributed at, or in connection with the Summit, are owned by Africa Seminars. You may not use or produce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any such content or material for any reason without the prior written permission of Africa Seminars.
  8. In the unlikely event of it becoming necessary to substitute a speaker with another speaker or to postpone the Summit, Africa Seminars reserves the right to do so at their sole discretion. However, in the case of any such postponement, Africa Seminars shall reschedule the Summit to a date within three months after the date of the Summit at no further cost to the delegates. Delegates hereby indemnify and hold Africa Seminars harmless from any costs, and expenses incurred by them due to such postponement or substitution of a speaker.
  9. Africa Seminars shall not be liable for any technical error or other eventuality, such as, inter alia, load shedding, internet or computer related problems that may affect the attendance of any delegate, nor shall it be liable for any expenses incurred by delegates to participate in the online Summit, such as transport expenses, use of computer equipment, etc.
  10. Africa Seminars gives no warranties in respect of any aspect of this online Summit or any materials related thereto or offered at the Summit and, to the fullest extent possible under the laws governing these terms and conditions, disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, timeliness, and merchantability. The views, opinions and positions expressed by the speakers and attendees at the Summit are theirs alone and do not necessarily reflect the views, opinions, or positions of Africa Seminars. Africa Seminars makes no representations as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, suitability, or validity of any information presented by speakers and attendees at the Summit and will not be liable for any errors, omissions, or delays in this information or any losses, injuries or damages arising from its display or use. Africa Seminars does not endorse, and expressly disclaims all liability relating to, any of the products or services provided by speakers and attendees.
  11. Africa Seminars nor its affiliates shall not be liable to delegates/attendees for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential costs, damages or losses arising directly or indirectly from this Summit.
  12. Any claim related to anything said, written or done during, before or after the Summit shall be limited to the amount paid by an attendee as a registration fee. South African law shall apply to any claim or any other matter involving the online Summit.
